Poteau restaurant destroyed in fire
The Arena Steakhouse, north of Poteau, was destroyed by fire Sunday evening. According to fire personnel, the fire began just after 7 p.m. and appears to have begun near the kitchen.
AES-Shady Point: Making a civic and economic impact for more than two decades
This year marks the 23rd year AES-Shady Point has called LeFlore County Home. The 320 megawatt coal-fired plant located eight miles north of Poteau began construction in 1988 and officially began operations on January 15, 1991.

"I was just really, really happy because we didn't get to see her much, and even when she was home on her breaks, we barely got to see her," Paige Hendrix said.
