Police: U-turn caused serious crash on Route 4
A 55-year-old Pittsfield man sustained life-threatening injuries Thursday after a two-car crash on Route 4 resulted in his vehicle striking a tree head-on and catching fire, according to state police. The cause of the crash appeared to be a driver making a U-turn, police said.
