Harper's Catfish Restaurant in Scottsville, Kentucky Review

The very best catfish 'anywhere'! When I get to Scottsville this is where I want to eat (too bad it was closed when I was in town a few months ago..a Tuesday, I think).

they close on mon and tues. i agree it is the best

GPa's catfish is better & their dining room is so much cleaner!

I was told G PAS was better also.The last time I went to Harpers it was not good the fish was small got more batter than fish and I also agree it could use a real good cleaning and a new paint job.But on the other hand my neighbor went last friday night and said it was excellent again and he was with us the nite it was real bad so before I pass final judgement I am gonna go for fish this friday and see if its back to being great because I do agree at 1 time Harpers was the best.

i have 2 disagree harpers has the best fish, but dumplins does have good home cooking.

Harpers is the best! I dont need no high class building to eat a good meal for under 8 dollars!

Harpers is number1 is the best catfish very good i love to eat there. as for cleaning and new paint job if you dont like the way it look dont go there to eat... Harpers fishcats is the best .the moonbean

right on i dont need a high class building to eat a good catsfish meal. the bitchy about it need clean it or tell the Harpers to clean it up or dont eat there . i love there food. moonbean

My opinion,harpers is the best!!

Harpers is good,But is Dirty!

I live in Scottsville, and have eaten Catfish at Dumplins, G-Pa's, Apsen, and Harpers - at least 3 times at each place. When visitors come in I prefer to go to Harpers maybe even because of the appearance. You can't see their sign, or their business from the road, it's a dusty gravel lot, and I don't know how you could find it if you weren't from here. It looks kind of dirty, or maybe it looks old and outdated rather than just "dirty". The local Scottish Rite seems to meet in the back room there or something and that just ads to the place even more.

Anyway, Harper's has the best catfish by far, it is also the most crowded of any restaurant on the weekends and just about all they serve is catfish. It seems that most locals still think that Harper's has the best Catfish around and it shows in their dusty parking lot. I like Aspen for Lunch, G-pas is good, and Dumplins has good home cooking. All are reasonably priced. But Harper's has the best Catfish I've eaten anywhere.

Just to let everyone know... Harper's doesn't serve catfish... It's some other kind of fish fillets, but it's NOT catfish.
Still pretty good, though.
