An accused fire bug is on the loose in Monroe County. State police said Jon Gilliland, 44, of Sciota tried to start a fire at the Twin Willows Bar in Hamilton Township Wednesday.

Police have issued an arrest warrant for Jon Travis Gilliland, 44, of Sciota, after he allegedly tried to set fire to Twin Willows Bar on Strawberry Hill Road, Hamilton Township early Wednesday.

Two Pen Argyl residents had a loaded gun pointed at them Monday night in Monroe County.

It was a busy lunch hour Tuesday at the Old Mill Pizzeria in Sciota, and maybe a third of the people there did more than just order food. They also congratulated the owners.

Some of them brought cards. Others brought gifts.

''One of my customers brought me a huge fish,'' said Old Mill co-owner Zack Paputchi, holding his hands out to cover the width of one of the tables.
