Skippack's First Fridays, Fireworks, Perkiomen Valley Sojourn Postponed
Due to rain, the Merchants of Skippack have postponed June's First Friday activities, the Saturday Perkiomen Creek Sojourn has been postponed to June 15, and fireworks will occur Saturday night at the Perkiomen Valley Fair in Schwenksville instead of Friday.

The annual Schwenksville Vol. Fire Co. Chili Cookoff brought the heat on Memorial Day, as attendees tasted, and tasted and tasted samplings of homemade chili, all to vote for their favorites in the end.

A Patch reader found a dog on Tanglewood Drive in Schwenksville on Tuesday. The dog, estimated by a vet to be roughly one year old, had a blue leash attached to a purple gemstone collar.

Schwenksville Fire Co. to Hold Flea Market, Chili Cook-Off
The Schwenksville Fire Company will hold its 20 th Annual Flea Market and Chili Cook-Off on Monday beginning at 7 a.m. The flea market, held at the fire station at 300 Main Street in Schwenksville, will start at 7 a.m and run until 3 p.m. At noon, the cook-off will begin, which costs $10 to enter and $3 to taste.

Local Boroughs Proclaim Perkiomen Creek Sojourn Day
The Perkiomen Creek Conservancy will host a sojourn on Saturday, June 8th from 9am-3:30pm. The 7 mile ride will start at Red Fox Park in Schwenksville and will end at Hoy Park in Lower Providence.

Matthew Royer was found one week after he went missing. He headed from college in Rhode Island for home in Montgomery County, Pa.
