Suspected OWI After Pick Up Crashes Into a SchofieldHome
Everest Metro Police are blaming excessive speed and alcohol as the cause of a vehicle crash into a Schofield home and other vehicles Wednesday night. Officers responded to a call of a vehicle that had ran into a home just before 11 p.m. Corporal Sam Stroik said the male driver of a new Ford pick up truck was heading westbound on Barbican Avenue, lost control on East Everest Avenue, then drove through a neighboring yard.

Power has been knocked out by storms in a few central Wisconsin locations. The most heavily hit area is Schofield, where Wisconsin Public Service reports they have two major outages affecting 985 people as of 3:00 a.m. There are also outages west of Wausau in the Edgar and Marathon areas.
