The Saxapahaw United Methodist Church is opening the doors of a new food pantry Sunday afternoon for a blessing and open house prior to the ministry's official opening on Tuesday.

Good news for foodies in the Triangle: Chapel Hill's Town Council has cut fees and amended rules to make the town more food truck friendly.

Patty Griffin will spend part of the summer on the road in promotion of her brand-new studio effort, "American Kid."
