Assembly Democrats refuse to commemorate Proposition 13
On Monday, the California Assembly's Revenue and Taxation Committee rejected a resolution commemorating the 40th anniversary of the passage of Proposition 13. ACR247 , introduced by Asm. Dante Acosta, R-Santa Clarita, simply sought to recognize the beneficial impact Proposition 13 has had on the state and the enduring popularity of Proposition 13. According to polling by the Public Policy Institute of California, 57 percent of Californians and 65 percent of likely voters believe Proposition has turned out of be "mostly a good thing" for the state.
