The Mountain Home Chamber of Commerce is putting together plans for the Holiday Light Parade.

Meet Tom King. Or, as they call him for a few weeks each year, Santa Tom. Originally from Wisconsin, King had his first taste of being a performer at the young age of 16.

ID a ' Snake River Landing and Ecliptic Marketing & Consulting are pleased to present the holiday event A Christmas Stroll, which will take place at Snake River Landing on Friday, December 4th from 6 to 9 pm .

It's that time of year again when The Reporter is asking area children to send in their Santa Letters.

It seems every Christmas, when my kids sit down to write their letters to Santa, I get surprised by some out-of-the blue request.

Over the years I've learned many tips to writing letters to Santa. Through our correspondence I have learned what items can be covered and what can't. Here is my story.

Dear Santa, I know that Christmas time is here, a time we hold our loved ones near.

Dear Santa It's been a while since I last wrote you, Santa. How long? Well, we have a President of the United States who is a black man, that's how long.

Dear Santa, There are so many things I would ask you this year. I want to be sure I keep my list short.

Dearest Santa, I have not written to you since I was a little girl but have always believed in you no matter what the other kids said.

Dear Santa, I know I am a bit too old for this but I really believe in you. I ask for three presents from you because this year I worked extra hard.

Dear Santa, I hope you like the cookies I left for you! I threw some extra chocolate chips in the because I know that's the way you like them! I left a carrot for your reindeer too...good thing they like carrots and not cookies or you'd never get your sleigh off the ground.
