What good would penalties do? After all a penality would be paid with our tax dollars. More waste. Jail terms would be better for the person in charge. Still at a cost to the tax payer. But it would send a message to those who want to waste our money. For every agency that has not submitted their account info, no more money for anything, period for 5 years. Now that would send a message.

Furthermore, why didn't Mr. Balderas and other "in charge" detect this immediately?
Accountability falls on the auditors as well! |

Just another way of showing that the State of
NM is not being run efficiently, elected officials are spending way too much time on their own pet projects or getting elected to other positions etc (while not earning their paychecks). If people did this in corporate America they would be gone. The other puzzling thing here is that someone has broken the law yet no one is willing to take them to task and hold them accountable - OH YEAH IT'S A LIBERAL IDEA - HOLD NO ONE ACCOUNTABLE FOR ANYTHING THEY DO OR DON'T DO. Time to start firing for effect Fat Bill! |

New Mexico politics as usual. The sad part is we keep voting these idiots back into office.

California needs to get it's own state in check before making cxomments on another state. I grew up in So.Cal., and I remember when they decided to start off shore drilling. Thank You Ca. for your destruction of so many birds, fish and land. |
