G.E. Montero,I salute you as a Veteran today. And thank you for your service to our Country. I noticed that the SENTINEL has no other articles in Honoring or recognition to our Veterans today. Today is Veterans Day,I do not think Santa Cruz recognizes this important Holiday. I live in Modesto and in Santa Cruz all my family is and has been in Santa Cruz since 1938. Here, even the students at Calif. State University Stanislaus are having a Celebration supporting our troops and rendering honors to our Veterans. There are numerous parades, gatherings through out the County. The Modesto Bee has always been a great supporter of our Troops and Veterans. Our prayers to all our Troops and Veterans,Thank you for your service to your Country. USMC 1962-1968

Daily Horoscope for January 2

Virgo

It's okay to have high expectations, but try to keep in mind that no one can be all things to all people. As the Moon spends one last day in its current sign, it urges you to find a way to recognize others for their strengths, and forgive them their weaknesses. Virgoans' idiosyncrasies must look like strange quirks from the outside as well! Fate ties up the loose ends towards the end of the day.
