But when food-stamp recipients lay in the wake of a catastrophe (i.e. Hurricane Katrina) then it is caused by the White Man.

I just pray to God to help those brothers, sisters and family in Santa Cruz. I always visit my cousins..It is a beautifull place.

I have a friend who lives farther north in the mountains there, and is a firefighter himself... I'd bet he's out there now or preparing to go out... as he does every season risking life and limb - here's to you Eric and your associates and family.

Santa Cruz is about the coolest city in America...love it there...course, Asheville's great too, cept for all the clueless lieberals.

First of my heart goes out to anyone who lost a house and I pray for anyone else in the path of the fire and hope they put it out soon.... that said.

Its simple the forest needs to be thinned to be healthy and until the tree hugging environmentalist's figure that out there are going to continue to be huge wildfires that destroy the west coast. The complete ignorance and stupidity of the environmentalist movement pisses me off to no end everything they try to involve there self in has been a complete disaster. They shut down entire community reliant on the logging industry for the spotted owl and then find out logging isn't what was killing the owl it larger predatory birds, but hey they tried and that's what matters it doesn't matter that they ruined peoples lives and in the process set forward what your seeing now. Anyone who knows anything about a healthy forest knows it needs to be thinned and the undergrowth cleared otherwise you get this, which loggers do and in the process pay the forest service millions of dollars that go toward up keeping and fire prevention. Bravo environmentalism.

How do you turn an act of nature into a political issue. I am no tree hugger but some of us care about leaving a world to our children where they can breath decent air, eat uncontaminated food and drink clean water.
I am a Conservative that cares for my children..
