Pledge, Presentation Marks Sanatoga Fire Ceremony

Members of the Sanatoga Fire Company, 2222 E. High St., would not let rain dampen their spirits Saturday as they happily proceeded with an official housing ceremony scheduled for their recently received Squad 58 apparatus, and other current equipment and vehicles. Company volunteers, Lower Pottsgrove Township officials and other dignitaries, invited guests, area residents, and representatives of several other fire companies all gathered at the firehouse to acknowledge the work and efforts that made acquiring the equipment possible.

Sanatoga Marketplace Project Wins Preliminary OK

A 13-acre parcel of vacant land at 3049 E. High St., just west of the Turkey Hill convenience store at Rupert Road, won unanimous preliminary approval Thursday night from the Lower Pottsgrove Board of Commissioners as the site for future construction of a shopping center to be called Sanatoga Marketplace. Commissioners know some specifics about the center: for example, the size of its buildings - a 102,939-square-foot commercial structure, and a separate 7,500-square-foot restaurant - and where parking will be.
