Whatever happened to the saying "there's no free lunch?" Don't lecture me on how kids need to eat to perform, blah, blah, blah. How about families taking responsibility to feed their own children? Then the money could go towards what schools are actually meant to supply: teachers, books, libraries, etc?

Does that mean we don't need to pay that $96 extra property tax for how many years was it? Next time you ask for more money -- especially from those of us with no children I hope we all remember this.

They are feeding kids who qualify for free and reduced lunches. You know the kids of people who have lost their jobs? Most of us do feed our own kids. By the way the Feds and the State make the schools do this or they risk losing ALL of their funding.

If you cant afford to have children, then dont rely on the school system to feed them breakfast and lunch like MANY, MANY schools feel responsible to do courtesy of the taxpayers, many of whom dont have kids. What ever happened to brown bagging it? Ridiculous.

Just let the government take care of everything for these people...housing, welfare, education, medical....the list is growing.

I do not mind feeding the legal children who's "parents are temporarily out of work", but feeding all these illegal kids that go to our schools, is ridiculous! These parents do not pay taxes, so they can afford to feed their own children! Enought already!

What are you all talking about? Why the assumption that the new equipment will only be used for kids getting free meals? I think the kids who buy their lunches might eat some of the food stored in the new refrigerator too. There's a lot of kids with working parents who buy lunch every day, and some who's parents just don't pack them a lunch. Once a kid spilled his drink all over my kids packed lunch and the principal made sure he got a "bought" lunch. Congrats on the new fridge!

I agree. BILLIONS of dollars are spent on the ILLEGALs education/meals every year........one of the reasons this State is broke........wake up liberals you are doing this Country a disservice with your liberal attitudes and pure stupidity.

Daily Horoscope for December 3

Cancer

Take it easy today, or the most insignificant things will get you down in no time. A difficult letter in the post, or a tricky conversation with a loved one, will sink your spirits down to your ankles. Ugh. Life is not as tough as it seems right now, so keep reminding yourself that we can choose to feel better. A bar of delicious chocolate, or a tasty savoury snack might help a little, too...
