Amazing how all of the right wing retards like Rush Limbaugh and Sarah Palin have distorted what's in the health care bill (such as those non existent "death panels") and turned it into another Obama bash-fest! These are the same selfish fat cat Republicans that were against Social Security and Medicare and every other worthwhile social program. They have no problem at all with wasting over a trillion dollars on a completely unnecessary war or bailing out Wall Street to a tune of almost 2 trillion dollars though! What a bunch of ignorant a--holes!

Obama's health care proposal is frightening not only because he has no plans to pay for it (except massive increase in taxes) but because when the government takes over the health care system there is no competition and the quality drops. All the money going to feed the huge government bureacracy is money that is not available to the consumer. Look at the history of socialized medicine in Russia, Cuba and other Socialist countries. Do we really want that?

The government is NOT going to take over the health care system under this plan although that is how it is basically done in most of the rest of the industrialized world. If you have insurance through your employer, a private policy or are on Medicare of Veteran's Health care there will be no change. What it will do is bring the most of the almost 50 million people (that number growing by tens of thousands daily!) who do not have insurance into the system with affordable or in some cases subsidized health care. There will also be streamlining of the whole system with electronic record keeping, cost savings through various means and the elimination of the insurance companies refusing to cover people because of prior conditions (which will mean lower rates for many of us! What's wrong with all that?

You talk to the citizens of Canada, England, most of Europe, Japan, etc. and they are mostly quite satisfied with their government run health care. They damn sure don't want the mess we have here with it being the biggest cause of individual bankruptcy for those who lose their life savings or people who just can't afford to go to a doctor.

You really ought to stop listening to right wing fools like Rush Limbaugh and Sarah Palin and do your homework before you start shooting off your mouth with inaccurate information!
