I'm glad I didn't become mayor. SB is a cesspool full of bean ers and blacks. Not a place that an affluent white man like myself should be forced to call home. I live in Redlands. Sck it San Beanerdino...

I think saturation patrols are a better use of resources than checkpoints.

I'm right there with you Michael H. I read about the checkpoints and it seems a lot of resources and many times results in no dui arrests. Hundreds are "searched" (illegally, I think) and inconvenienced and even harassed (as in Pomona). Look at the results. 66 stopped, 38 arrests, 4 duis!! Almost 60% hit rate. Legal stops, probable cause, visible police presence throughout the city, no harassment. That is police work. Great job. Saturation patrols work!
