The legislation Baker signed this month prevents these kinds of abuses by banning the enforcement of noncompete agreements against minors, students, and low-wage workers generally. It also introduces important procedural protections, guaranteeing employees notice and an opportunity to consult with an attorney before signing noncompete deals.

Chicago Police have arrested just one suspect in a violent crime spree that left 75 people wounded and 12 dead during the first weekend of August.

When you tie police hands and force them to wear surveillance they are not going to stop crime.

So.......... If the cops are held accountable for their actions and prevented from brutalizing and murdering suspects due to body cams they are unable to do their jobs? Sounds like the cops are unqualified.

Would you put your life on the line for 40K a year? Criminals should not expect protection from the police.

A 12 year old with a gun that shoots plastic peas was shot less than 3 seconds after a police officer stepped out of his car and a deaf 70+ year old homeowner was shot dead in seconds by an officer because he didn't immediately drop face down on the floor as ordered. And there are hundreds of similar police shooting deaths of innocent people many on video proving that "shoot first" is the motto of far too many police departments.

Police carry a gun and a badge and should be more closely scrutinized than any other profession.

The cops are taking out the trash, and I commend them for it.Not the deaf guy,but any fool that points a gun at a cop, runs from a cop,or fails to comply is fair game . Either we want cops to do their job or not.

The very first thing to teach a child is obey the police. You can fight later. Never ever cross a cop and refuse to cooperate. They are taught to shoot to kill and they mean it. You have no rights when a gun is pointed at you. Live to fight it later. It is the parents at fault that let children get away with bad behavior.

That has nothing to do with respect for the law and those pointing a gun at you. Corrupt police can be punished after the encounter. Never argue with the gun. We have many entering the law enforcement vocation that are playing the system. You never see people with 140 I.Q. in uniform.

The smarter people get into politics to be corrupt. The laws are written by those that control politicians. Those laws favor smart people.

I'm not a cop....
But if you ever point a toy gun at me or my family, the only thing the world will remember about you is the go fund me page they started to pay for your funeral.
I don't blame anyone for choosing not to waste time trying to tell a real gun from a toy in the few seconds it would take for some piece of ghetto trash to take the life of a decent person.
But if YOU wish to do so,please do.
