Former West Virginia volunteer firefighter enters plea deal
A former West Virginia volunteer firefighter has pleaded guilty to starting a fire, but his sentencing has been placed on hold in a deferral agreement with prosecutors. The Herald-Dispatch reports that if 19-year-old Allen Black successfully completes a three-year period of supervision, the felony charge will be dismissed and sentencing will move forward on misdemeanor counts of false alarm of a fire and conspiracy.
