I drive past the memorial every day and am glad to hear it will be protected. It would be nice to see the town step up and fund a granite memorial wall for these kids in the same location. No disrespect to the current memorial. I believe a granite wall six feet by 8 feet with caricatures of each teen with a quote by the parents... would be a permanent and respectful memorial that would be less prone to damage and easier for the parents to maintain. However, I don't know the significance of the items at the current memorial and would not want to disrespect the parent’s/families wishes either... just a thought.
