Saginaw man who fired up to 15 rounds at car, missing 5 people, takes plea
The day his trial was to begin, a Saginaw man accused of opening fire on a vehicle containing five people opted to take a plea deal that will require he spend years in prison. DeMarcus M. Essex, 23, on Tuesday, Aug. 28, appeared before Saginaw County Circuit Judge Andre R. Borrello and pleaded no contest to single counts of assault with intent to cause great bodily harm less than murder and felony firearm.
