Council approves fire levy for fall ballot
A resolution to place a five-year, three mill tax levy on the November ballot for the purpose of funding the purchase of a new ladder truck for the Middleport Fire Department was passed by a split vote of Middleport Village Council Monday night.
Despite the mild temperatures on Saturday morning, dozens of volunteers turned out for the 13th annual Leading Creek Stream Sweep.
Public showing of 'FrackNation' followed by panel discussion
The documentary "FrackNation," by Phelim McAleer was shown and followed by a panel discussion on fracking in a public program hosted by the Meigs County Tea Party recently in the auditorium at Middleport Village Hall.
