Tips about meth being sold from a residence in the Ruby area led to the arrests of three people on Wednesday, according to the Rapides Parish Sheriff's Office.

Alison is the daughter of Thomas and Shelia Swain of Deville, La. She is the granddaughter to Richard and Shirley Swain of Ruby, LA and Doyle and Dolly Hines of Centerpoint, LA.

The 50-year-old African elephant lived at the Los Angeles Zoo for about 20 years, and was one of the oldest elephants in captivity.
