There is no doubt about Roy’s fault and the punishment he is going to face. But let me ask you – who among you are faultless? Isnt it a fact that you have not been caught? Maybe evading tax, performing dignified robbery by returning goods after use to stores, and cheating your clients because the promise you made to him was not documented or not under oath, or cheating your wife (which is legal in the US)?? I can go on and on. It is necessary to be concerned about our children’s safety. But isn’t most people shedding crocodile tears?? We are worried about uncles molesting their kids but are not concerned if the peers of their kids screw them? Most teenagers have had underage sex before the age of 18 by multiple partners (friends). How many parents care to monitor /control their kids. Often parents compete/allow to get their kids to dress such as to promote their booties (sort of saleable commodities) which aids to lure the weak and lead to promiscuity. Where is the concern and your ethics as a parent about your kids???
This country with all its support to porn and such sex related industries and laws will definitely promote such sad incidents. Sting operations will catch a few foolish people like Roy, but the affluent and smart guys get what they want. And your kids are not protected whether they are penetrated or spoiled by an Uncle/malayalee or a below 18 year old buddy from school or street(for which the law is questionable). How would react to that??? The laws of this country need terrible reformation. Illegal immigrants have better protection and rights than may be a legal citizen which is another quirk. We live in a imperfect society and wish to throw stones at others who acted foolishly. Our only qualification to do that is not that we are faultless but we somehow bypassed the system!!!. As some have said, while the law takes its course we should be praying for Roy and family for a real repentance and transformation of heart. If you are really concerned about moral and ethical values and the safety of our generation we should look and think out of the box and stand for a real transformation in the social values and laws which are in place today. |
