The developer of the previously announced 20-megawatt South Fork Wind Farm in southwest Jackson County's Ewington and Round Lake townships has immediate plans to triple that wind energy capacity in the county and eventual plans for a whole lot more in the area.

Jackson County Historical Society Museum Director Mike Kirchmeier and his trusty helpers Mary Chonko and H. Ed Carlson have been very busy at the museum lately, working up some nice new displays of donated items while updating others and generally fixing and sprucing up the facility.

The maker of JujyFruit, Now & Laters, Chuckles and Brach's said Thursday that it will move many of its Round Lake, Minn., operations to facilities in Tennessee and Texas by the end of the first quarter of 2010.
