Duplin adopts 2009-10 budget with lower tax rate
The Duplin Board of Commissioners voted to approve the fiscal year 2009-10 budget on Monday, reducing the tax rate from $0.79 per $100 valuation to $0.69 per $100. Meeting for the second time in the auditorium of the Duplin Commons Agricultural Complex, a small crowd was in attendance as the fiscal plan was adopted by a unanimous vote.
