Barbara Lawlor GILPIN COUNTY It was a busy weekend for Gilpin County emergency agencies who worked in mutual aid with the Alpine Rescue Team to save the lives of three men involved in a rollover accident on Friday and a boy who was injured in a fall in Golden Gate State Park on Monday.

Three people were injured, two seriously, when their four-wheel-drive vehicle rolled down a mountain in Gilpin County this evening.

The Colorado Department of Transportation begins a 12-mile paving project on State Highway 119, north of Black Hawk, on Monday, July 6. In addition to rotomilling and asphalt paving, the project includes new pipe and guardrail installation, culvert cleaning, erosion control and striping.
