Hungerford, Replogle big Aug. 7 winners

In a race where the three respective candidates secured large majorities of their votes in their political strongholds, the one with the largest stronghold won the Republican primary election to be Webster County's new treasurer last Tuesday, Aug. 7. Todd Hungerford won the three-person primary with almost 44 percent of the vote, defeating second-place candidate Nikki Whitehead and third-place fi isher Teri Myers . Hungerford, R-Marshfield, dominated on the north side of the county, where he captured more than 60 percent of the vote in the Marshfield East and joint East Ozark/Northview A precincts, which are the two largest of the 13 precincts.
