Search to resume this morning in Elk River for possible drowning victim
Limestone County rescue crews were aiding teams from Lauderdale County to search Tuesday for a man believed to have drowned where the Elk River meets the Tennessee River.
The search for a missing boater is over. Rescue teams pulled the body of 47-year old Timothy Garner from the Elk River this afternoon.

Search crews recover body of drowning victim
Using cadaver dogs and search crews from multiple agencies, recovery workers pulled the body of a drowning victim from the mouth of the Elk River at about 5 p.m. Wednesday.
The search is over for the body of a man who drowned in Rogersville Tuesday. We're told the 46-year-old Giles County, Tennessee man and his son jumped off their boat into the water to try to cool off.
Lauderdale County hit hard by storms
