A 19-year-old Rodeo man has been arrested in connection with an attempted carjacking that caused the victim to strike a pedestrian and drag him to his death in Rodeo in June, the Contra Costa County Sheriff's office announced.

Daniel Avanesyan was arrested hours after the stabbing, which happened 12:04 a.m. Thursday outside a home on Clover Lane near Nicholson Road.
