Teen driver gives up after leading Flat Rock police on car and foot chase

A 19-year-old Monroe man was arrested after what began as a car chase, then ended as a foot chase that allowed him to hide briefly in a wooded area. The incident began at about 3:30 a.m. May 6, on Gibraltar Road, near Walnut Street, when a Flat Rock officer clocked the driver at 45 mph, on a portion of the road where the speed limit is only 25 mph.
