Center for Maine Contemporary Art faces zoning hurdles
An award-winning New York City architect presenting plans for the proposed Center for Maine Contemporary Art on Winter Street met with resistance from members of the Rockland Planning Board Dec. 17. The nonprofit CMCA plans to move from its longtime location in the Rockport firehouse to 21 Winter St. in Rockland to increase access and space.

Woman arrested after crash knocks out power to parts of Rockland

New police officers welcomed to Camden
Several new faces have been welcomed to Camden Police Department in recent months, the new officers were introduced to selectmen Dec. 3. Camden Police Chief Randy Gagne said the department is lucky to have such well-qualified candidates in Wes Butler, Tim Davis and Jeff Boudreau.
