The Sauk County Communications center was notified of a two vehicle head on crash on STH 23 near CTH W in the township of Westfield at 1:13 pm on 11/04/09. The initial investigation shows that a single occupant northbound van crossed the centerline, striking a single occupant southbound car.

The rain much of the Madison area received last Tuesday can't compare to the rain that the Sauk County village of Rock Springs saw early last summer.

The village of Rock Springs will get a $1.73 million federal grant to cover most of the cost of removing up to 19 structures from a flood-prone area, the Federal Emergency Management Agency said Tuesday.
