Incumbents Do Well In City Elections
In Waco's District 2, incumbent councilwomen Alice Rodriguez held off challenger Dave Emley with 57 percent of the vote, and Toni Herbert kept her seat in District 4, handily defeating Shamiqua Robinson.
Voters Say Yes To School Bond Issues In Six Area Districts
The largest was in the Midway ISD where voters were asked to approve a $34.5 million bond proposal, which passed with 57 percent of the vote.
