Met Council supports Bottineau light rail; timeline and funding uncertain
The Metropolitan Council has effectively approved a new light rail line for the 13-mile Bottineau Transitway between Minneapolis and Brooklyn Park, as well as three additional "arterial" Bus Rapid Transit routes in Minneapolis that will share lanes with regular traffic.

Fire damages Robbinsdale duplex
Crews were dispatched to the home on the 3200 block of Halifax Avenue North just before 11:30 a.m. When firefighters arrived they found flames and smoke billowing from the second floor.

A 59-year-old Buffalo man was injured Saturday when the motorcycle he was driving went off the road, lost control and crashed on the southbound shoulder of Highway 6 near Linberg Road in Deerwood, the Minnesota State Patrol reported.
