Reward for information in Riverside murder case increases
“Charlie was a good family man and a good friend”
Authorities announced today a $5,500 increase in the reward for information leading to the arrest of suspects in connection to the shooting death of Charles V. Cammisano.
The total is now $6,500.
Cammisano, 52, was found shot to death Sept. 1 in the 4800 block of Northwest High Drive. A 17-member metro squad investigated almost 100 leads but disbanded without criminal charges being filed.
An investigation by Riverside police is continuing.
Friends and family of the victim added $5,500 to the reward for information leading to an arrest in the case. Read more

Smoking ban in Illinois casinos drifted more business to Missouri last month
Illinois casinos' losses were Missouri casinos' gains in January.
A statewide smoking ban in Illinois that took effect Jan. 1 pushed puffers out the door and, for many, to casinos in neighboring states.
'If anybody thinks casinos are fibbing when they talk about the damage to business from smoking bans, all they have to do is look at Illinois,' said Frank Fantini in his daily online Fantini's Gaming Report. 'Gaming revenues plunged 17.4 percent in January under the state's new smoking ban.' Read more
