Constable says rival lives out of precinct

Constable Sergio DeLeon has requested that his challenger in the Democratic primary be declared ineligible because he doesn't live in the precinct.
DeLeon is constable for Precinct 5, which covers part of northwest Fort Worth.
In a letter sent Tuesday to Tarrant County Democratic Party Chairman Art Brender, DeLeon said his primary opponent, Ernest Magallon, moved in July to a house in River Oaks, which is in Precinct 4.
Magallon said he has lived for 11 years on Gould Avenue on the north side of Fort Worth, which is in Precinct 5. He bought a rental home in River Oaks over the summer that his daughter is now living in, he said. Read more
