Rio Grande Man Killed in Lawn Mower Accident
A Rio Grande resident, identified as Arthur "Art" Shivers, 72, was killed on Tuesday, June 9 when the lawn mower he was riding on flipped over pinning him underneath at the Sand Barrens Golf Club on Route 9, around 7 a.m. According to police, Shivers was an employee of Sand Barrens.
