Yes I do know what treatment is. Let's just clarify my earlier comment. When I said it was wrong to let them go hungry and homeless, here is what I meant smartass. All children aren't as lucky to get removed from the situation, should they suffer for that? Um no. I definetly do practice what I preach, I have cared for lots of children that have drug addicted parents.I have fed kids whose parents could care less about where they are fortunately I am not as bitter about it as you.The treatment I am referring to does not consist of handing out more drugs to people already addicted. All people that do drugs aren't the horrible people that you are making them out to be, some yes all no. And as far as child abusers that is the only part of your comment that I agree with.I recommend extreme punsihment for them. Just because you have been wronged by people is no reason to hold everyone accountable. I have taken people that I care about to rehab and it has worked.Sometimes people just need a hand in the right direction not beaten done worse than they alreadya are. And here is another fact for you since you seem to know it all treatment wouldn't cost near as much as jail. And s far as throwing people in jail giving them 3 meals a day, a bed to sleep in, no bills or responsibilities, not having to work yeah thats gonna make someone change. And as far as you throwing your father out, I'm glad that he did make it but there are some that don't what if your father would have been one of those that didn't would you be able to live with yourself. Say what you want but probably not huh?

Does anyone know how much more time Kenny Sigman has left to pull in jail? Which jail is he in? I think its a shame that he got by with this as long as he did, and I'm sure he'll be out soon and will do it again.
I think he has about 12 more years to spend in federal prison, you can go to www.bop.gov and type in his name and it will tell you what prison he is in.

yes its about time they caught of with some of the drug heads around here. But what is sad is you let your kids out of you sight and the next thing you know is that your neighbor is the one involved in all this come on parents stop the madness, lock of you pills no matter who comes in your home.

Calling anyone names is not good communication skills. It also shows a lack of argumentative skills and makes your information sound less important.
BTW, thanks for feeding druggies kids.
Jail is punishment for a crime, NOT rehab. 3 hots and a cot in jail is nowhere near as good as being outside. If jail was so great, we'd all go. If someone commits a crime, jail's what they expect, accept druggies. Fear is a great motivator and deterrent. They have no fear of punishment. Smacking their fingers and putting them back out isn't helping anyone. Without punishment, which is what we have now, drugs may as well be legalized, taxed & the $$$ used to save their kids.
If PA is received, add medical bills, in and out of jail, costs to the police, child care, to years of treatment and the cost has surpassed that of jail.
I'm not bitter, I am pissed! People are not taking care of their kids because of drugs. Not because they can't, but because they are getting high instead.
How can you defend people when you are feeding their kids knowing that instead of buying food, they are getting drugs?
Someone tell me why someone on welfare is so much better than the working person or so special that they are protected from drug tests? Working people have kids too.
What's the difference, the kids aren't getting it anyway? Sometimes it does take a village to raise a child. Using $ that are saved to hire more child care providers, such as investigators, is a great idea IMO. Something we need now and are told cannot be afforded. The numbers will go down as the next generation sees that it is not the way to live. It won't be easy, but the kids are worth it.
The earlier an addiction is treated, the better the outcome. I believe that testing will help in this area, giving more a chance at a good life.
Not all people on PA are on drugs. Not all people on drugs have kids. What about those that are drawing PA on drugs with no kids?
Under the bill, they are given lots of time, offered treatment, retested, and done again, before the funds are taken. Pass one and you’re done. If someone cannot stay off drugs a few days and given 3 chances to pass, do they still deserve to get paid? If they have kids, they know they are choosing drugs over the kids. They can reapply and retest in the future, not a lifetime ban. Its aimed at the abuser that continues to test hot time after time.
Not all treatment is bad, but none seems to be working on a permanent basis. Defined as failure. I do not consider someone "clean" if they are still using. I don't care if it is prescribed by a Dr, given by a clinic, some replacement including alcohol or to reproduce the effects of the drug. Most use this method, by choice. Most do not use it to get off drugs. Couple are much improved, trying hard to get drug free, I wish them well, even like them, but I do NOT consider them "clean". How many heavy users do you know have completely, truly been clean for more than a year?
The people I referred to, and more, weren't bad people before drugs (couple where close), or even until later stages. They were family and friends that I hung out with. They just chose to go too far. I chose not to. Why would anyone choose to take a street drug that they know is so highly addictive and destructive? I've begged them to let me get them help. It's not what they want. I won't be an enabler.
Having a parent that is an addict is abuse. Knowing, the mood swings, parents high, What ifs, it in the house, it's enough to scar a child without ever touching them. Being an example that drugs are ok is not good parenting skills.
My Dad, it took years for me to get to that point. He'll tell you everyone hated him, mostly him, and if he hadn't quit drinking, we were better off without him. That it helped. I could have lived with it, no matter the outcome. Now I am proud of him.

I do undrstand your point. However I am not defending drug abusers by any means. All I'm saying is that more help should be offered to prevent it from happening to the next generation. As far as mothers that regularly fell drug tests I haven't much use for them either.

During hunting season I was up in the south fork area and that place has been logged to death! Raping the woods by clear cutting and ruining the town with druggies. I get sick just thinking how down hill this place has went in the last 65 years. I went to city hall on my visit and some little lady was down there cleaning and I wondered what she was on, to wired to be normal, that one tattooed punk someone said was the Mayor's son, he looked wacked out on something to and I smelled booze on the mayor. Fitz I know from way way back, in our Coal days and he can't see at all can he, I hate that for him, but he sure can flirt with the girls and is that little office girl, the pretty one, sleeping with the whole city, hate to see pretty little gals like that ruin their life with drugs and sex and booze. The whole world is going to hell and I'm glad after 74 years to say it's about over for me but God help my great grandchildren.

Daily Horoscope for December 20

Taurus

As Mars turns retro, emotional tension makes you feel as though you're walking on eggshells. The temperature has risen by several notches, making the situation at home more fraught. Better to clear the air quickly and cleanly than to sulk and brood in ways that simply prolong the agony.
