In two days, lawmakers will come back to Richmond for a special session to debate Medicaid expansion. Tuesday, those in support of expanding the program shared their stories in hopes of getting it passed, including southwest Virginia resident Edna Gulley, who says she's had to rely on getting medical care from a group called Remote Area Medical , made up of volunteers that help those without health insurance across the country.

The man charged in connection with the death of a Richmond child and the sexual assault of another has had his trial date set. According to court documents, 16-year-old Mairese Washington will have a jury trial in Richmond court on November 17 through 18. Washington was charged with one count of second-degree murder, malicious wounding, and strangulation for his part in the May 1 death of 8-year-old Cobb and the sexual assault of Cobb's 12-year-old sister.
