come people there's murders eveyday let her rest in peace she's dead let the investigators do there job,she's not coming back and we are all going to die sooner or later so shut up!!!!!!!!!!

i am proud to be from jackson, there's murders everyday, in different cities around the world. Why be ashamed of Jackson? We just need to pray that the investigators get the right person who was the backbone to the murder. Mr. Evans was the only one who had anything to gain. Yes these people are addicts, but who are we to judge them. I just hope that the real culprit gets what he deserves. Yes they need to serve their time in jail and if they were with Mr. Evans when Mrs. Evans was killed then they deserve whatever the sentence may be, but to my knowledge Ms. Speakman was not here in the state when Mrs. Evans was murdered, but Mr. Evans was close to Jackson....maybe a connecting county???? where Vances brother lives??? Come on people who do you think had anything to gain?

Did any of you actually know the family??? Yes, the 3 on trial are addicts, but, our little town is overrun with them!!!(in case you haven't been in the NEW High School-someone needs to realize that!) These people will stop at nothing-feel safe???
Mr. Evans, who has had a stroke in 2006, needed her for his own well being. He was very much committed to his wife and children. Is there anyone out there that will step up and tell what really happens in this town?!!! It is unamaginable to all of you!
Carol was a very good person (she did not deserve this,) she has raise a good family, and was a pillar of the community. She would not like what is happening to the man she spent more than 50 years with.
I,also, pray that Carol Evans' murderer-the true one will be punished, but this small town is so quick to convict. Let the authorities do their jobs. STOP THE GOSSIP!!!

Mr. Evans was not commited to his wife, or this would not be happening right now.... He has had several girlfriends over the years and has put his family in torment over the years. If he had been the pillar of the community like his deceased wife he would not have been associating with any of these people. It would have been people his own age.

I am extremely close with both the Speakman and Evans family. I feel a great sadness for the Evans family for their loss however Heather was not in the state when the murder happened. I am not saying she did not know about it but we all know who is to blame. Mr. Dave Evans has never been a loyal man to his wife. I have been there when he a physically and mentally assaulted her and I personally know he has given Heather money for schooling and for drugs. Mr Evans is not a good man by all means. He should be punished like the rest. Howvever it is not my job to judge him. Let that job go to God. But I do pray he gets punished by the courts. I also hope his punishment is harsher than those he paid off. I pray for both families to find comfort in God and they all are forgiven.

None of us know right now exactly what happened or who did what. Everyone assumes that Mr. Evans is behind the whole thing...and he might be. I hope not. The family has suffered enough. But I think it is also possible that Ms. Speakman might have done this without Mr. Evans knowledge to get Carol out of her way. It said in the indictments that Mr. Evans did not know Vance or Faught but someone paid them to do the crime. Mr. Evans is guilty of making the bad choice of being involved with Ms. Speakman but maybe that is his only crime.

If you knew dave like you say then you would not say he was a committed husband. He lied and cheated to her for years and it all boils down to money. She only stayed because she was loyal and she thought it was the right thing to do. He is being linked to the murder along with others, his hands were all over the source of the money given to kill his own wife. How committed is that? You will be eating your words when Sheriff Shasteen comes out with an arrest for the evans men.

So what is going on with this case? Have they arrested everyone involved? When are their trials? I haven't heard anything or been able to find out any new info.

A Jackson County man has been chargd with Aggravated Murder in the death of his wife, 72 year old Carol Evans in March.

73 year old David Evans is being held in jail on $5 million bond in connection with the alleged murder for hire scheme. Former educator Carol Evans was found strangled in her Jackson County home in March.

Three other people were arrested in April on conspiracy charges in connection with Evans' death-- Terry Vance and Randy Faught of Jackson and Heather Speakman of Richmondale.

Additional indictments are possible when the Jackson County Grand Jury meets Wednesday.

Come on people,if anyone knows the
Evans family they should know Carol was no dedicated wife,Youshould have been behind the closed doors. No she did ot deserve what happened by no means.And is Dave jr innocent, doubt it. Remember how he was ot around town for a longtime and now the last six months he is back. And aren't all of those men known for abusing their spouses. Although I have never heard of Mike abusing

i know one thing dave evans took me for lots of money he needs to be were he at carl was a good women she loved her family she was strong dave wasnt nice one thing hw says to you then turns around and stabes you in the back take everthing you have' back staber
