FORT WORTH -- About 900 employees in the Northwest school district are being fingerprinted this week in an effort to improve safety after school officials recently learned that a registered sex offender was working at a middle school.
All custodians, cafeteria workers, substitute teachers and bus drivers will provide fingerprints, which will be sent to the Texas Department of Public Safety for analysis.
'We want our community, our parents, our children to know we take safety very seriously,' said Mona Benotti, Northwest's assistant superintendent of administrative services. Read more
