Burleson 5th-grader's short film in national spotlight

By ROBERT PHILPOT Sam Appel, an 11-year-old fifth-grader at Tarver Rendon Elementary School in Burleson, was watching his dogs one day when inspiration struck.'I was just watching them playing out in the yard, and one of them was being really lazy, and the other one was playing a lot,' Sam said.
