New Mexico hospital returning overpayment by state
The Human Services Department says a Gallup hospital is returning a $5 million overpayment by the state from a program that helps hospitals cover health care for uninsured and poor New Mexicans.

Rehoboth McKinley merger deal falls through amid rural health challenges
Talks between the 69-bed independent hospital in Gallup and the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center and LHP Hospital Group Inc. of Plano, Texas, ended Dec. 31 when the two potential partners let the letter of intent they had with the hospital expire, said Rehoboth Chief Development Officer Ina Burmeister .
