Sudden Oak Death, a disease that preys on tan oak and other tree species in Curry County has reared its ugly head again.

The discovery of the plant disease known as sudden oak death has prompted the closure of a popular nature trail leading to redwood trees in southwest Oregon.
Oregon's Redwood Nature Trail closed
The Redwood Nature Trail in Curry County, one of the few places where redwoods grow naturally in Oregon, is closed to prevent spread of a plant disease.
