After several months of discussion with residents and revisions to ease concerns, the Redmond City Council approved the Southwest Area Plan unanimously Tuesday night "You hate to be trite and say, 'We listened to the citizens,' but in fact, we did," said Mayor George Endicott. C.O. police report holiday weekend enforcement tallies

Central Oregon law enforcement agencies on Wednesday reported the results of their four-day High Visibility Enforcement campaign dedicated to DUII enforcement occurring over the Labor Day holiday weekend. The Bend Police Department dedicated officers to both grant funded overtime and straight time enforcement over the holiday weekend resulting in four DUII arrests, four driving with suspended licenses, three uninsured motorists, two for speeding and seven other citations.
