The 10th Annual Red Oak City-Wide Yards and Yards of Yard Sales is set for May 4. Several families, church groups and individuals are expected to participate.

The second annual 5-K Clover Run/Walk will be held on March 16 as part of Red Oak 4-H Recycling Day, according to organizer Dru Kauk.

A U.S. Navy submarine believed missing off the coast of Japan since 1943 has brought a Texas woman together with area residents in Hartshorne and Red Oak.

Red Oak 4-H members participated in the Fort Smith, Arkansas "Christmas Honors" project which was inspired by Wreaths Across America, which places Christmas wreaths on gravesites at Arlington National Cemetery.
