“The bottled-water industry has always been at the forefront of disaster relief”
A Nestle Waters North American bottling plant was in the path of tornadoes that devastated the south last week and at the center of the region's relief efforts.
Officials from the Greenwich-based company confirmed that the Red Boiling Springs bottling facility in Macon County, Tenn., has been distributing bottled water for relief efforts, just hours after the plant was struck by a tornado and lost power.
Its bottled water was distributed to area hospitals and to the National Guard and American Red Cross for their rescue and relief operations, said Sandra DeYonge, senior manager of internal communications for NestleWaters. Read more
