Don't ya love how they term a few marry-jew-wanna plants to be worth "$80,000"?!

Freaking cops and judges who perpetuate this crap with our tax money should be the ones in the slammer!

This is barbaric- ruining people's lives for gtrowing a freaking plant! This makes me embarrassed to be an American.(well...actually a lot of things make me embarrassed to be an American these days- including that jig in the White House)

Man, if I was there, when nobody was looking, I'd reach in that pot and grab the $80,000. I mean seriously, who leaves $80,000 just lying around in a pot. They could've accidently put tea in it.

Does no one else think it's odd that the name isn't being released. Since when does law enforcement protect the criminal. I figured any arrest would be open records.

id say they didnt release the name either so whoever was buying from him will still go to his house or they're working out a little "deal" with him for reduced jail time. and the thing about $80,0000, police will always overestimate the value to make themselves look good. truth is those plants weren't worth shit if they weren't mature.
Yeah, and because of that, the poor slob will get a longer jail sentance (Watch out! He's growing PLANTS!!!) than some Mexican gang-banger who smuggles in a truckload of heroine.

I guess the cops are just mad, because there isn't enough to allow them to "lose" some of it, without anyone taking notice.

You had me until this one. What the hell kind of Rush Limbaugh bumble-f%$#ing madness are your driveling? Drugs are drugs. There's no excuse for breaking the law, especially something this serious. I don't care about your back pain, glaucoma, sarcoma, or addictive personality. Pot, smack, booch, 80's, Tina, reds, blues, pinks, or whatever the hell else you can possible think of is against the law and BAD FOR YOU AND SOCIETY! You are going to get roped for for screwing with that junk and you're going to pay the price for it as a result. It's as simple as this: If you can't do the time, don't do the crime.

...Or I can stay sober and deal with reality like a man. My aspirations do not include getting meth mouth and having some reality TV cameras visit my trailer. Pot smoking is for low class people and cowards. I am neither.

Yeah, I do sound like the typical druggie, don't I? Actually, I've never done any type of drugs (not even "legal" ones) or alcohol.

Now would you please explain to me, why it is that if someone chooses to get bombed on beer or whiskey every day of their life, they are free to do so...while someone who instead chooses to GROW A PLANT on their own property to achieve the same effrect, is hustled off to prison, and their life is ruined?

Personally, I don't care if drugs are good or bad (or maybe like alcohol, they're O-K in moderation- as cocain and heroine used to be sold over the counter in drugs stores as a health aid), what I care about is my tax dollars being used to ruin the lives of people whose choices only effect themselves, and who have not harmed anyone-(As the pot may or may not ruin their life...but going to prison and losing all they have surely will ruin their lives!), and the fact that we live a police-state, where the government has somehow unconstitutionally usurped the right to make people into criminals because of what they choose to ingest into their own bodies...or what they legitimately posess (i.e. did not steal from someone, but purchased, or manufactured or grew).

As I said, I don't use drugs/smole pot or drink. Nor do I eat at McDonalds nor ride a motorcicle, as I consider those things too great a risk to my health....but I certainly don't want to see my neighbors going to jail on my dime, because they choose to take those risks. That is what freedom is all about- you decide what risks you are willing to take with your life and your family, and you reap the consequences of your choices and actions. You should not be punished for your choices, nor should you be subsidized.(i.e I don't agree with the people who propose legalization, and then say that we should pay for "treatment programs", etc.)

And remember...if the go ernment can tell your neighbor what to do and make hiom a criminal for merely excercising his own choices...they will one day do the same to you.

Doesn't matter what their profession. If they are a drug addict, they are useless as a human being and completely without class. IMO
