If it is true that county officials want establishments run by local responsible owner/operators why then:

1 Is there a responsible business in Stink Township that was not allowed to remain?

2 Did Stink township allow a heavy industry to spew toxins, machine noises, smoke from burn cans, truck exhaust, etc. into the home and business of
responsible citizens?

3 Did the heavy industry allow its employees to use and deal illegal drugs at the work site?

4 Why did the employees threaten to rape and kill the owners/operators if they did not keep quiet?

5 Why did the employees of the heavy industry insist that the owners of the business sell and deal drugs for them? Or else?

6 Did 2 employees of the heavy industry die due to illegal drugs?

7 Is home ownership and business ownership still valued in Berks County? And protected?

8 Were some of the employees arrested for dealing?

9 If it is true that the County "leaders" want responsible owners/operators in drug-free liquor-licensed establishments, why do they verbally support those who destroy them?

10 Why do county "leaders" verbally support VP perps?

Does it appears to some that our county "leaders" stand up and speak up for the guilty and negate the truth when spoken by those vicitmized by criminals?

Unless and until all of our law enforcement personnel stand on the side of truth and justice, there are deep-rooted problems in out communities?

Is this uninformed or pathetic or corrupted leadership in local government?

Just asking.

Why am I not surprised? It's sad that Reading has become such a cesspool.

It appears that the rest of Berks County through its questionable
"leadership" and "leaders" has been heading in the same direction for years.

While there are many great, law-abiding citizens in Reading, there are also many criminals and non-law-abiding citizens throughout the entire County.

The problems arise when the "leaders" are unable to discern the difference as they continue to support a corporation involved in illegal conduct.

When the "leaders" verbally support those involved in white collar crime (bid-rigging, corruption), there are definitely questions that should arise in the public.

Perhaps they are simply uninformed and should research the facts first before supporting such entities.

Or perhaps the need for jobs in the County clouds reason and judgement.

In any event, it appears that justice does not thrive in a clouded, manipulative environment in Berks County.

Actually Reading and Berks County are under two different leaderships. Is they were really one and the same the BARTA bus situation would be a non issue. But it is. Reading can't afford it's share so it want Berks County to cover their end of the bill.
I'm not saying Berks County is the greatest, I am fortanate enough to live in one of the nicer parts of it but I sure as heck don't plan on living here forever.
