What a surprise!
An illegal speakeasy in the city of Reading! Probably only about 20 of them, I don't know. Depends on the day, week, year. They serve everybody who comes in the door. Sometimes they check their weapons at the door...maybe not. Gangs don't apply for a liquor license, building permit, etc. They just buy booze, glasses and ice and begin to sell. They also distribute other substances there without the watchful eye of the LCB. None of this is the fault of the police. It falls soley upon the shoulders of the operators and their customers, the citizens who are breaking the law, too. Remember...Gangs and others like them only follow gang rules..not the local ordinances, not the state laws, not the federal laws...only gang rules. With the pending budget cuts in the City, this type of criminal behavior, shootings, murders, rapes, burglaries, robberies, invasions will only increase exponentially...then also more will move out of the City limits and throughout the entire County. Heads up! The crime is coming your way. Guaranteed!!!! |
